Play Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy for Children, Teens, and Families in Utah County

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience supporting children, teens, and their families. I specialize in play therapy and trauma-informed treatment for clients ages 2 and older. My clinical work includes supporting attachment challenges, anxiety, pediatric OCD, grief and loss, trauma, and navigating complex family systems.
I have particular expertise working with neurodiverse children and teens, including those who are gifted, highly sensitive, or emotionally intense. A formal diagnosis of autism or ADHD is not required to benefit from my approach. Many families seek therapy when they feel unsure how to support a child whose way of experiencing the world feels different. I help caregivers better understand their child’s nervous system, strengths, and needs so they can respond with greater confidence and connection.
Children communicate through play, movement, and creativity, and it is essential that their therapist speaks this language. I use developmentally appropriate, evidence-based techniques—including play, art, manipulatives, movement, AutPlay®, and EMDR adapted for children—to help clients build emotional regulation, resilience, and relationship skills. I have extensive play therapy training and served for eight years on the Utah Association for Play Therapy Board. My work is values-driven and collaborative, and I view therapy as a team effort: I would be honored to be a part of your family’s support system.
